Take a look around
The Crossed Keys
A beautiful Irish bar & guesthouse steeped in rich history
The Crossed Keys is located in one of the oldest and most historic areas of Mullingar. The name 'Crossed Keys' refers to a pillar or cross which stood in Medieval times close to where the bar is now.
Austin Friars Street was the site of an Augustinian monastery from 1227 to 1539. The monastery, which was known as St Mary's or 'The House of God', was founded by Ralph Petit, who was Bishop of Meath 1227-1230 and the first parish priest of Mullingar.
